皆さん、おはMOO！！です。今日の明け方公園で、週末開催予定の牛祭りで行われる闘牛ダンスの自主練習をしてきました。公園につくと、私以外にも様々な人がダンス練習をしていて、いよいよ本番が近いなと思わされる盛り上がりでした。この「闘牛ダンス」は、この地域に残る闘牛の動きを模して考えられたダンスで、10年前の村長が地域活性化を目的に、その補助金を獲得するための話題作りとして考案したものです。
このダンスは、公園での練習こそ普段着で行っていますが、本番では頭に牛の顔の被り物を被り、首から下は肌が露出しないように、黒の全身タイツを身に着けます。ダンスは牛の野性的な動きをしながら、指を角に見立て、突進時に相手にその指を押し込むことが特徴となっています。そして、その指から伝わる感触は、時に柔らかく、時に固く相手のどこに触れているのかを想像しながら踊ることも醍醐味となっています。また、ダンスは成人男女のペアで行い、希望者からランダムに選ばれます。ダンスの1セットは概ね3分間で、入れ替わりで次のペアが呼ばれます。ダンス終了後は、お互い被り物を外して素顔を見せ合います。相手が誰だかが分かると、踊るときに触れた感覚を思い出しつつ一喜一憂を楽しみます。観客もダンサー同様に緊張感をもって楽しみ、正体が分かる際には会場が爆笑に包まれます。でも、この闘牛ダンスはただのエンタメではなく、この淡いスキンシップが、恋愛経験少ない男女の心の壁を取り払い、その後の交友関係の呼び水となっています。この祭りにより自治体の成婚率や出生率上昇。補助金以上の成果が出始めており、大変注目されております。今年の本番が楽しみです。
Good morning, everyone. Today at dawn, I went to the park to practice the bullfighting dance that will be held during the bullfighting festival scheduled for the weekend. When I arrived at the park, there were many other people practicing the dance, and the excitement was so great that I thought the event was about to get underway. This “bullfighting dance” was conceived by the mayor of the village 10 years ago as a way to create a buzz in order to win a subsidy for the purpose of revitalizing the community.
This dance is practiced in the park in ordinary clothes, but for the actual performance, the dancers wear a cow face headdress and black full-body tights so that no skin is exposed from the neck down. The dance is characterized by the wild movements of the bull, using its fingers as horns and pushing them into its opponent when it lunges. The feeling of the fingers is sometimes soft, and sometimes hard, and the real pleasure of the dance is imagining where the fingers are touching the opponent. The dances are performed by pairs of adult men and women, randomly selected from those who wish to participate. Each set of dances lasts approximately three minutes, and the next pair is called in turn. After the dance, the dancers remove their coverings and show each other their true faces. When the dancers find out who their partner is, they enjoy a feeling of joy and sorrow as they recall the sensations they felt when they touched each other during the dance. The audience is just as nervous as the dancers, and when the identity is revealed, the audience bursts into laughter. But the bullfighting dance is more than just entertainment; the light skinship between the dancers helps to break down the emotional barriers between men and women who have never been in love before, and encourages them to form friendships afterwards. The festival has led to an increase in the marriage and birth rates in the municipality. The festival is beginning to produce results that go beyond subsidies, and is attracting a great deal of attention. We are looking forward to this year’s festival.
